GÜÇ is an independent, designer-led fashion brand founded in Paris in 2021.

I was born in Vienna, into a family shaped by Greek, Turkish, and Arabic roots. My mother grew up in a small village in Turkey, once a Greek settlement. When the village changed hands, names changed too—often to reflect presence rather than origin. My great-great-grandfather, known for his commanding stature, became Güç—my mother’s maiden name. In Turkish, the word means power or strength. That meaning stayed with me. It defines how I want the clothes to feel. Güç began with a simple belief: garments should adapt to the wearer, not the other way around. I design with the body in mind, creating pieces that protect, move, and respond. Every creation starts from something familiar, worn in everyday life, then evolves into a form that can live across moments, settings, and moods. At the heart of Güç is multifunctionality—intelligent, modular designs that are sophisticated yet restrained, familiar yet quietly surprising. Transformation and duality are part of the language. I explore the idea of two pieces in one with precision rather than excess, allowing each design to shift and evolve over time. Fabric and color are chosen with intention. Fluid yet structured textiles. Deep tones alongside lighter, almost translucent shades. Always considered. Always balanced. Güç is not about performance. It is about presence. Strength without force. Versatility without compromise. A wardrobe that moves with you, shapes with you, and lets you feel confidently powerful.

Multifunctionality is also how we think about sustainability. One piece, many lives. Fewer garments, worn longer, in different ways. This approach encourages conscious dressing without turning restraint into a statement. Sustainability at Güç is embedded in the process, not added as a layer. It informs how we source, how we produce, and how we design. We work exclusively with natural fibers—silk, wool, cotton—chosen for quality, longevity, and biodegradability. Whenever possible, we source from deadstock to reduce overproduction and waste. Every design begins with the same question: can this piece last—emotionally, functionally, aesthetically? Timeless rather than timely. Versatile without becoming performative. The result is a considered balance between longevity, adaptability, and confident refinement.

Our pieces are made in Paris, in a small manufactory located just minutes from our studio. From the beginning, we chose to produce locally. Not for scale, but for closeness. We believe in knowing who makes our garments, how they are made, and under what conditions. Quality comes from proximity, dialogue, and care. We met our manufactory the same year we moved into our current space. Since then, the relationship has grown into a true collaboration—built on trust, shared values, and mutual respect. Supporting local craftsmanship is not a claim for us. It’s simply how the work gets done.
